St. Patrick’s S.O.S. Club is a voluntary club which provides students with an opportunity to serve our community, church and school. It is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who have a desire to help others and want to make a difference in the lives of others. Below is a summary of our exciting events from the 2006/2007 school year.
The Leprechaun Kids include kindergarten through 5th grade students In our continued effort to “Answer Jesus’ Call”; all of our students participate in one or more meaningful service project with their class during the school year with the help of our dedicated teachers and parent volunteers.

Members of S.O.S. assembled and organized costumes that were donated to the children of an inner-city school for Halloween. St. Pat’s 2nd graders also donated many gently used costumes to this cause. Overall, 125 costumes were donated so that children could have a happy Halloween.

Caring for God’s Creatures
Anderson Animal Shelter was overjoyed to see our 3 vehicles pull up to deliver hundreds of items generously donated by our St. Pat’s families during Spirit Week. Our members helped unload the boxes of dog food, cat food, toys, and supplies. Then we were given a wonderful tour of the shelter and learned how the animals are cared for and adopted by new families.
Easter Baskets and Clothing Drive
Team members sorted and boxed gently used infant and children’s clothing generously donated by our St. Pat’s families for the families of the Crisis Pregnancy Center. Members also prepared over 20 Easter baskets filled with new infant toys, bibs, lotions and other much needed items for the children that come to the center.
Service at Carroll Towers
S.O.S. 8th graders had the opportunity to meet and visit with the wise and wonderful residents of Carroll Towers while helping out with some odd jobs such as moving furniture, hanging pictures, and small cleaning projects. Delicious cookies were then delivered to each resident.
